Saul Nassau

Saul Nassau is a versatile individual with expertise in teaching, community organizing, and conceptual art. His critical thinking skills, enriched by his varied and eclectic background, enable him to utilize effective strategies that promote collaborative learning and positive social interactions. Saul enjoys longboarding, exploring new adventures, dedicating time to his academic pursuits, as well as building community projects. He has completed a Bachelor of Arts studying Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics at McGill University in Montreal, as well as a Master’s degree in Philosophy from The European Graduate School in Saas-Fee. 

Rana Kawoukji

Rana graduated from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and a Teaching Diploma. Over the course of 12 years, Rana taught English and ESL in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, an experience that proved immensely rewarding both personally and professionally.  She had the privilege of instructing students from diverse cultural backgrounds and that deepened her understanding of multiculturalism at school. In pursuit of continuous professional growth, Rana relocated to Canada in 2020 where she obtained a TESOL diploma and IELTS teaching certification from ONTESOL. Beyond the realm of teaching, Rana spends quality time with her husband and two daughters creating lasting memories. 

Bill Guo

RongXi (Bill) Guo, graduate of the University of Toronto majoring in Math and Physics. Bill specializes in teaching a wide range of subjects, including OSSD Grade 9 & 10 math, Grade 9 & 10 science, Grade 11 physics, chemistry, and math, Grade 12 physics, chemistry, biology, advanced functions, data management, calculus and vectors, as well as AP calculus AB and BC, AP physics C, and IB chemistry SL. Bill has been an active participant in math and science contests since my high school years. Moreover, Bill has dedicated his time to training students for various competitions, including the Sir Isaac Newton (SIN) Exam, COMC, Hypatia, and Euclid. Through guiding students to excel in these contests, Bill also possesses a strong ability in nurturing students’ problem-solving and critical thinking skills that will undoubtedly benefit them in the future. 

Sinam Devi

Devi, an Ontario Certified teacher specializing in Physics and Mathematics, brings a wealth of experience and unwavering dedication to her classroom. Her teaching journey began with a strong foundation, holding a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Science, and a Master of Philosophy in Science, driven by a genuine passion for education. Over the span of 15 years, Devi has refined her instructional abilities across diverse educational environments, consistently pursuing opportunities for professional development. She has augmented her credentials by completing the ABQ program with a leadership focus at OISE, University of Toronto, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing learning. Known for her forward-thinking approach, focus, and diligence, Devi is deeply invested in her students’ success. She continually strives to push the boundaries of traditional education, enriching their lives in every conceivable way.

Melissa Phen

Melissa Phen is a graduate of OCAD University and has completed her Bachelor of Education at Western University for Visual Arts and English. Prior to completing her BEd, Melissa has taught ESL in Okinawa, Japan for two years. Outside of teaching, she is a freelance artist and has written, illustrated and published her own children’s book, Elephant Shoes are Hard to Find.

Jerry Ai

Jerry obtained his M.S. from the University of Oklahoma in USA, B.Ed. from the University of Windsor and Mathematics Honour Specialist from the University of Western Ontario. He has taught Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Accounting for 10 years in different countries, including Canada, UK and China. He has two teaching certificates from Ontario College of Teachers and BC Ministry of Education. He likes Ping-pong, basketball and travelling.

Alexandru Volvoreanu

Alex Volvoreanu graduated from the University of Toronto– St. George Campus. He completed his Bachelor of Humanities in English and Philosophy. He attended OISE shortly thereafter in order to obtain his Teaching Degree. Since then, Alex taught English in the U.K; a place that greatly improved his knowledge of pedagogy. His favorite activities include playing tennis and basketball, as well as watching movie & TV marathons. He also hopes to impart his passion for literature to others!!!

Hasan Sunjari

Hasan’s educational journey predominantly unfolded in Bangladesh, where he dedicated himself to academic pursuits. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996 before venturing to Australia for post-graduate studies. Returning to Bangladesh, Hasan assumed the role of a high school Business and Economics teacher at Scholastica, one of the country’s premier educational institutions, in 2001. There, he adeptly instructed students in the CIE (Cambridge International Exams) Business curriculum for a decade.

In 2011, Hasan, accompanied by his wife and daughter, relocated to Canada. At Seabird College in Agassiz, BC, he shared his expertise in business studies with a diverse student body, including first-nation Canadians. After eighteen months, Hasan transitioned to our faculty at NOIC as a business class teacher. His arrival enriches our institution with his extensive experience and unwavering dedication to education.
