It was my first time studying abroad and my first time being away from home for such a long period. Feeling lonely was a compulsory lesson. However, during my time at NOIC, I made many great friends and gradually adapted to independent living. I also met many exceptional teachers.
During this time, I acquired new skills and now feel fully confident and prepared to enroll in university. I am grateful for the experience, and the future looks promising!
Looking back over the past year, I have transformed from feeling anxious and helpless when I first arrived in Canada to now having a hopeful outlook on the future. My time at NOIC has led to significant improvements in various aspects of my life.
Unlike the education system in my hometown, the support and encouragement from all the teachers have inadvertently boosted my confidence and willingness to try new things. My critical thinking skills have also greatly improved.
At NOIC, teachers focus on developing students’ abilities in critical thinking, independent learning, and teamwork, aiming to improve their overall competencies.
This is different from the exam-oriented education system in Chinese schools. All in all, NOIC Academy provides students with ample space to grow academically and personally, both in studies and daily life.
Throughout this year of study, I not only accumulated knowledge but also made new friends and encountered different cultures. The unwavering support from teachers deepened my understanding of subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Physics, laying a solid foundation for my university life.
Interacting with friends from all over the world broadened my horizons and filled my heart with joy. At NOIC, I experienced Canadian culture more profoundly. This year’s experiences have enriched my knowledge, strengthened my emotions, and paved a broader path for my future journey.
After coming to NOIC Academy in Canada, I fully experienced high school life abroad with a group of domestic partners who shared the same journey. I am very grateful for having such a chance to try a lot of new activities and develop my ability for independent learning and creativity.
If we don’t try, we won’t find our potential. Only when we discover something we love in this complex world can we truly carry on and find satisfaction. We cannot change the world, but we can change our attitude—following our hearts and being joyful every day.
Just finished a video chat with our child, who praised the teacher for being incredibly caring and supportive. It’s not just about buying tasty snacks; the teacher also accompanies them to get a phone card and a bank card sorted. We’re truly grateful to NOIC Academy and the teacher for their assistance, which gives us peace of mind even though we’re thousands of miles away.
At NOIC Academy, my daughter has received meticulous care and support from the teachers, which has been a tremendous blessing for both her and us. We are very grateful to the school for providing such a warm and caring learning environment.
After sending our child to NOIC Academy, the person we are most grateful for is Teacher Wang. The detailed weekly parent feedback written by Teacher Wang truly reflects the effort and dedication put into teaching, for which we are deeply appreciative. Our child had several small issues, such as being careless and shy, and not very good at communicating with others. Under Teacher Wang’s meticulous guidance, we have indeed observed a significant change in our child, who has become more outgoing and confident. Most importantly, in terms of studying, our child has gone from not doing homework and being called in for teacher conferences in China, to now arranging their own time and studying with a plan. These changes are evident to me and fill my heart with joy. With Teacher Wang’s guidance, our child has also become what others refer to as “the child next door.” Thank you for your nurturing! Thank you to our child for their effort! Thank you to NOIC for bringing hope to our child.
