Dr. Mark Lee is an Honours graduate in History and Humanities from the University of Toronto and has a B.Ed. from this same university in History and English. Mark’s international career as an educator began in Cairo in 1994 where he taught History and Economics in the IB Diploma program. Returning to Canada in 1996 to undertake his M.Ed. at Queen’s University, Kingston Ontario and then his Ph.D. in the field of Evaluation and Assessment, Mark also worked as an educational consultant and Program Evaluator for bodies such as the Ontario Ministry for Education and the Foundation for International Training (FIT). He is currently an accreditation consultant to the Abaarso School of Science and Technology in Somaliland.
Mark has published work on assessment practices, cross-cultural programs, and health behaviour in school-aged children and has been Principal at four international schools: Yanbu International School in Saudi Arabia, Casablanca American School in Morocco, the International School of Port of Spain in Trinidad, and NOIC in Toronto where he works currently.
Mark loves building community relations and has a passion for Accreditation and Policy Development work as well. He is also an avid SCUBA enthusiast and is a PADI Divemaster and NAUI Dive Instructor. He has logged more than 500 dives in various locations in Asia, North Africa, the Carribean, Canada, and the Middle East.
