Pavle Milutinovic (Honours Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education) teaches IB DP Chemistry and Biology at NOIC. He completed the five year Concurrent Teacher Education Program in Philosophy and Biochemistry at the University of Toronto – St. George. After teaching Biology in Canada, Pavle moved to Caracas, Venezuela, where he taught IB DP Chemistry and Biology, and coordinated the Group IV project at the British School of Caracas. During his two years in Venezuela, Pavle attended several IB professional development courses, as well as the Latin American Heads Conference – Teacher Observation Training in Bogota, Colombia, where he learned how to observe science teachers and provide recommendations for improvement.
Pavle continues to enrich his knowledge of the sciences by keeping up to date with the latest research in biochemistry, and by occasionally taking University courses – he hopes to teach his students about science as a way of thinking about the universe, rather than simply a large body of knowledge.
An avid SCUBA diver, Pavle always tries to find new exciting places to dive around the world, and after successfully starting and coordinating a school SCUBA club in Caracas, he hopes to do the same in all his future schools!
