On October 9, 2019, the NOIC Academy Global R&D & Operation Center and the new campus grand opening ceremony were held at the gymnasium of NOIC’s new campus in Markham. Honourable guests were invited to join the teachers, students at NOIC to witness this historic event in the development of NOIC Academy.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Minhong Yu, founder and chairman of New Oriental Education and Technology Group, sent us his warm greetings and best wishes through a video.
He congratulated NOIC Academy on our recent relocation to the new campus. Envisioning a brighter future for NOIC Academy in both the Canadian and international educational arena, Yu encouraged all staff members of the Academy to continue to provide high-quality educational services for our IB Diploma program, OSSD and global online programs. With the newly added facilities, he also expressed his complete faith in NOIC Academy’s capacity to deliver world-class scholarship, nurture high-performing students for universities and become a first-tier international secondary school.
Former Head Master of Eaton College, Tony Little, and NOIC Academy Advisory Board Member and former CEO of Cambridge Assessment, Ann Puntis, also conveyed their sincerest blessings and best wishes to our students and their future endeavours. Heartfelt congratulations were extended to all of the NOIC Academy community on our relocation to the new campus. And they all look forward to seeing a fully-upgraded NOIC with even more comprehensive student services and unparalleled educational qualities.
Prior to the opening ceremony, Jeffrey Beard, Chairman of the NOIC Academy Advisory Board, Ezio Crescenzi, member of the Advisory Board, and Lorne Young, Director of NOIC Online Education, facilitated a roundtable discussion with the teachers and students at the school. Meanwhile, Mr. Young introduced the latest development and features of the NOIC online credit courses.

As the opening ceremony coincided with the national holiday celebration in China, NOIC students performed chorus “Me and My Motherland”, a song popular in China for national day celebrations. With uplifted spirits and hope for the future, students paid tribute to their home country.

The Center and New Campus is located in Markham, Ontario and is the largest boarding international school in the local community. The new campus enjoys an advantageous geographical location in Markham and equips spacious classrooms, a full-featured indoor gym, fitness area with a big stage, a large library, green belts, sports field and other facilities.

Founded in 2004, NOIC Academy is a full-time, high-end boarding private high school in the Greater Toronto Area, offering the Ontario High School Diploma (OSSD), OSSD online credits and non-credits online education courses. It is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as an IB school and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP).
The NOIC Academy currently has two campuses and a boarding facility in the Greater Toronto Area. It has hundreds of full-time students, nearly 1,300 online students, and nearly 200 teachers and administrators, of which nearly 100 are educators and certified teachers located in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom teaching online courses. The NOIC Academy has a 100% college acceptance rate each year. On average, each student receives nine university admission offers. More than 89% of the graduates are admitted to the University of Toronto (ranked top 20 in the world). In the Euclid Math Competition held by the University of Waterloo, the NOIC Academy has ranked on the top 3% in thousands of high schools in Canada on average over the years.
