Former IB Director General to lead strategy discussion
Toronto—January 23,2019—NOIC Academy’s holding company Royal Prime Education Group Inc. announces the appointment of a new Advisory Board Chairman, effective February 1st, 2019. Jeffrey Beard was the previous Director General of the International Baccalaureate(IB), an organization that offers education for students from age 3 to 19. The IB offers four programmes that focus on teaching students to think and to inquire critically and independently.

Roy Rongfeng Huang, CEO of NOIC Academy and Royal Prime Education Group Inc., said today “Mr. Beard has been a member of our Advisory Board since 2015 and hascontributed significantly to both the development and implementation of our long-term strategic plan. I’m pleased that he will now assume the role of Chairman to further lead us forward, helping us to broaden our educational program offering in both North America / UK and China.”
As Chairman, Mr. Beard will work closely with the CEO and lead Advisory Board meetings aimed at strategy and business development. Mr. Beard said “I’ve enjoyed my work with Royal Prime as a member of their Advisory Board over the past few years, and look forward to providing leadership and advisory support to Roy and his management team as Chairman.” Mr. Beard will assume a non-executive leadership role as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Royal Prime Education Group, which is the non-Canadian educational brand used for all educational entities outside of Canada. Within Canada, NOIC Academy, formerly known as New Oriental International College is a boarding international high school, located in Toronto, and offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). NOIC is also an IB World School authorized for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). NOIC currently operates one campus and one boarding facility in Toronto. Royal Prime is actively pursuing expansion opportunities in Canada (for its NOIC campus) and in North America to meet surging demand for overseas education from China.

Jeffrey Beard is an innovative and results-oriented CEO with 22 years of international experience across six countries in both the profit and not-for-profit sectors. Mr. Beard was the Director General of the International Baccalaureate (IB) for eight years(Jan. 2006- Jan.2014) leading the not-for-profit educational organization as it grew into one of the fastest growing and most respected international education curricula across the world. Highly regarded by both governments and universities, the IB’s four programs, which emphasize critical thinking, project work and global-mindedness, are taught in almost 5000 schools across the world, with almost 1.5 million students registered each year.
Mr. Beard, a recognized leader in international education and with proven leadership and management ability, currently serves as the CEO of Education Innovation Associates Ltd, which provides consulting services for international schools and organizations.
